Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin has a global network of partners. The health care-related challenges facing us today require intensive efforts to establish both national and international collaborations involving both treatment centers and research and teaching establishments. Cross-border cooperations with top-level partners will ensure Charité maintains its leading position as one of Europe's largest university hospitals.
This page provides an overview of the growing Network of Partners established by the International Graduate Program Medical Neurosciences which includes

- industrial R&D partners.
Cluster of Excellence NeuroCure
NeuroCure is an interdisciplinary consortium uniting neuroscientists, basic researchers, and clinicians on one campus, independent of their institutional affiliations. Building on the strength of the Berlin neuroscience community, NeuroCure’s research is focused on neurological and psychiatric disorders. The aim of this interdisciplinary research network is to better understand disease mechanisms and to develop new therapies. NeuroCure strives to achieve this goal by
- attracting new faculty to broaden and deepen expertise in the Berlin neuroscience community
- establishing the NeuroCure Clinical Research Center (NCRC) to provide support in conducting clinical studies
- allocating flexible intramural funds to start up interdisciplinary, translational and innovative projects
- setting up core facilities such as an animal research unit for long-term outcome and behavioral analysis, as well as clinical and preclinical imaging facilities
Humboldt Graduate School
The Humboldt Graduate School supports the structural training of doctoral candidates:
- Quality control of doctoral programs, including measures to support and ensure equal opportunity
- The coordination of and expansion of disciplinary and transdisciplinary training courses within the graduate programs
- The provision of general administrative services which are not specific to any one graduate program
- The supervision and training of doctoral candidates outside of structured doctoral programs, within the capabilities of the Humboldt Graduate School.
Max-Dellbrück-Center for Molecular Medicine
The Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) Berlin-Buch combines basic research in molecular biology and genetics with clinical research so that the latest medical discoveries can be brought to the bedside as quickly as possible. The research teams of Prof. Kettenmann (Cellular Neurosciences) and Prof. Lewin (Molecular Physiology of Somatic sensation) are partners of the program.
