Alumni Meetings and Activities

We generally aim to organize alumni meetings twice a year. One usually during the graduation taking place in October and optionally in summer.

The last two alumni meetings have been sucessful, especially the meeting in 2016.

Alumni Meeting 2016

The MedNeuro graduate program turns 15 years this year! This would not have been possible without you, the MedNeuro alumni! We would like to use this occasion to thank you and to invite all of you to our alumni event. Join in, meet each other (again), and celebrate with us between Friday, October 7, 2016 and Saturday, October 8, in Berlin.

Surrounding the anniversary celebration we would like to offer you a program that addresses your expectations for a successful and enriching alumni meeting. We will start off on Friday afternoon with a get-together and sharing round about your current situation. In the evening there will be a key note lecture, the graduation of the current students and a reception. On Saturday we will offer you a workshop on Networking and Career-Planning".

If anyone wants to join the medneuro-alumni mailing list, please drop us a line.

Thank you all very much and looking forward meeting you again!

Alumni Meeting 2009

Since 2004, almost 100 MSc and PhD students have already successfully completed the program.

Reason enough to call for a reunion. Immediately preceding the 2009 graduation, the 1st ever MedNeuro alumni meeting took place. Intended as a jump start for future alumni work, the meeting included 4 elements:

Since this was the first meeting of its kind, we will have to evaluate the usefulness of these formats. Overall, the feedback by the 12 attending alumni was very positive.  We used some of the prize money received last year by the DAAD as one of the Top 10 International Master Programmes in Germany to award travel grants to attendees from outside Berlin.

A moderated workshop on what alumni work in the program could look like produced two tangible results:

  • To create a facebook group for the program
  • To compile a list of as many alumni as possible presented in a newsletter.

We hope for active support and contributions to these projects.
