Research Focus

  • The predictive factors and the prevention of arterial complications of arterial diseases, either monogenic or polygenic.
  • The molecular determinants of arterial stiffness, studied through the gene expression profile of human aorta, and animal models.
  • The pharmacological regression of large artery damage in hypertension, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia and menopause, using large scale therapeutic trials.
